Who is responsible
Barcode Reader QR Code Scanner (“the app”) is made by RBN Apps. Questions about this policy: service@rbnapps.com.
What the app does not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising.
- No internet connection: the app never sends anything to a server, ours or anyone else’s.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties.
Camera
The camera is used only to read barcodes and QR codes, live on your device. Camera images are not stored or sent anywhere. The only exception is when you tap “Save photo with text” or the camera button: that picture is saved to your own photo library, and nowhere else.
Photo library
The app asks for add-only access the first time you save a picture. It can add the pictures you choose to save, and it cannot see or read any of your existing photos.
Clipboard
Every scanned code is copied to your device’s clipboard so you can paste it into other apps. The app writes to the clipboard and never reads it.
Scan history and settings
The list of recent scans is kept in your iPhone’s memory and is cleared when the app is closed. Your settings (such as zoom, beep and vibration) are stored on your iPhone only and are removed when you delete the app.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
