ScanToPC
Scan here,
typed over there
When that is not what happens, it is almost always the computer side. Start there, and write to us if it does not come right.
What it does
Point your iPhone at one code and it is sent straight to your computer, typed into whatever field is selected, just like a USB barcode scanner. It connects over Bluetooth, so no cable, Wi-Fi or account is needed.
The program on your computer
Nothing is typed until the ScanToPC Receiver is running. It sits in your menu bar or system tray, takes the codes you scan and types them where your cursor is. Multiscan uses the same program.
Connecting
- Start the receiver on your computer and open ScanToPC on your iPhone.
- They find each other by themselves. Do not pair the phone in your computer’s Bluetooth settings.
- Click in a text field on your computer and scan.
In a room with several phones
Pairing is optional, and it is there for exactly this: with several phones and several computers in one room, pairing makes each phone type only on its own computer.
Free scans and the subscription
Five scans a day are free. A subscription makes it unlimited, and is charged to your Apple Account.
To cancel or change it, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.
Anything else
Write to service@rbnapps.com. It helps to say which iPhone you have and whether your computer is a Mac or a PC, but tell us what you saw and we will work it out.
